ABOUT WILLIAMSWORKS

WilliamsWorks, founded by Artistic Director Todd Williams in 2004, is a project based dance company dedicated to the creation of original choreographic works with an emphasis on movement invention coupled with social-political commentary. The goal of the organization is to create and sustain a high level of innovative performance works, films, and site-specific installations by Todd Williams.

WilliamsWorks has given performances in New York City at several prestigious venues. The first full evening of choreography by Todd Williams opened the 92nd Street Y Harkness Dance Festival in 2006, at The Ailey Citigroup Theater - The Joan Weill Center for Dance.

Other performances have taken place at Danspace Project / St. Mark’s Church, the Joyce Soho, and during the DanceNowNYC Festival at Dance Theater Workshop, at Joe’s Pub/Public Theater, and in the Jacob’s Pillow International Dance Festival.

Recent projects include collaborations with former Ballet Frankfurt Dancer Allison Brown in 2006, and in 2007 with photographer Anja Hitzenberger on her Changing Room Performance Installation.
